Five Foreign Nationals to Be Deported After Overstaying in Antigua

Five Plead Guilty in Court
Five foreign nationals admitted to overstaying their visas when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week. Consequently, the court issued removal orders for all.

Five Individuals Identified
The group includes Cornelius Thomas, 39, a manager at the Boardroom nightclub on Nevis Street. The others are Marcel Parker, Kizzy Johnson, Javon Keroy Watson, and Luckicy Andra McDermott. Each of them confessed to violating immigration laws.

Five Held in Detention
Officials have detained all five at the immigration facility. They will remain there until their scheduled deportation later this week.

Five Reasons for Strict Enforcement
Authorities emphasized that Antigua and Barbuda enforces visa laws to protect national security and maintain fairness for legal residents and visitors. This enforcement also discourages future violations.

Five Key Warnings for Visitors
Immigration officials reminded all foreign nationals to comply with visa requirements. Otherwise, they risk fines, detention, or deportation. Additionally, authorities warned that overstaying can complicate future travel to the Caribbean.

Five Steps Moving Forward
The government plans to continue strict monitoring of visa compliance. Immigration officers will conduct regular checks and update the public on enforcement measures.
