Four weightlifters of the Antigua and Barbuda Weightlifting Federation (ABWF) have travelled to Barbados to take part in a one-week intensive training and development workshop hosted by the Barbados Weightlifting Association.

Jaunii Nathaniel, Daniel Antonio, Kevesha Nedwell, and coach Durand Meade are all being provided with opportunities to learn from experienced instructors while gaining exposure to updated training methods and best practices in weightlifting. The event, which runs from May 29 to June 4, brings together athletes, coaches, and officials from across the Caribbean to strengthen technical skills and knowledge within the sport.

The sessions are designed to enhance coaching standards and athlete performance. The experience is expected to contribute to the ongoing development of weightlifting locally.
