Antigua and Barbuda will welcome tourism leaders and industry representatives from across the Caribbean in 2027 after being selected to host the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC).

The annual gathering brings together tourism officials, business executives and other stakeholders to examine the sector’s challenges, opportunities and future direction across the region.

The announcement comes as Tourism Minister Charles “Max” Fernandez takes on the chairmanship of the Caribbean Tourism Organization, placing Antigua and Barbuda in a key leadership position within the regional tourism body.

Hosting the conference will give the country an opportunity to present its tourism offerings while participating in discussions on regional cooperation, industry development and the future of Caribbean travel. Further details about the 2027 event are expected to be announced in the coming months.
