Cedar Grove Teachers Celebrated on Appreciation Day

Cedar

Teachers at Cedar Grove Primary School received special recognition during Teachers’ Appreciation Day celebrations this week.

The event honoured educators for their dedication to students and their continued contribution to national development. In addition, teachers received gifts and words of encouragement for their service.

As part of the celebration, St. John’s Rural North MP H. Charles “Max” Fernandez sponsored lunch for the teachers. Meanwhile, Senator Angelica O’Donoghue visited the school to personally thank staff members for their hard work and commitment.

During the visit, O’Donoghue also expressed appreciation to the school’s principal and teaching team. She praised their efforts to guide and support young people every day.

Furthermore, the celebration included local juices provided by entrepreneur Dadli Dose.

Organisers said the event aimed to recognise the important role teachers continue to play in society. They also highlighted the impact educators have beyond academics.

According to the ABLP Rural North branch, teachers help shape confidence, character, and ambition among students. The group described educators as one of the foundations of a productive society.

In addition, the branch said teachers continue to inspire dreams while preparing children for the future.

Supporters of the event also noted that teaching often requires sacrifice, patience, and passion. Therefore, they said teachers deserve continued appreciation and public recognition.

The celebration created a positive atmosphere at the school as staff members gathered to mark the occasion together.

Meanwhile, community members praised the initiative and welcomed efforts to honour educators for their service.

Education remains one of the key pillars of national development in Antigua and Barbuda. As a result, many residents continue to support programmes that recognise teachers and encourage student growth.

The organisers also thanked the teachers for their commitment to the nation’s children and their ongoing dedication in the classroom.

They added that educators continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people across the country.

Teachers at Cedar Grove Primary were again praised for their passion, service, and commitment to helping students succeed.
