NOTICE: All Saints Road detour starts tonight for works
NOTICE: All Saints Road detour starts tonight as major infrastructure works begin in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Ministry of Works advises the public about scheduled roadworks. Moreover, the works take place between FADI Building Supplies and Fresh and Eazy Supermarket.
The project forms part of the wider All Saints Road Project. It is being carried out by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
In addition, the detour begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, 7th May 2026. It will remain in effect until 7:00 am the following morning.
Motorists travelling out of town must turn left at Hazelroy’s on All Saints Road. Then, they should follow the marked detour route.
Meanwhile, drivers heading into town must turn right at Fresh and Eazy Supermarket. After that, they should continue along the designated route.
Furthermore, traffic control officers will be on site. Flag persons will help manage traffic flow throughout the night.
Certain sections of the detour will operate as one-way zones. Therefore, motorists must follow all posted signs carefully.
Signage will guide commuters in both directions. As a result, drivers should be able to navigate the route safely.
In addition, local access will remain open for residents near the work site. However, drivers should expect possible delays.
The Ministry of Works also confirmed that all businesses in the area will remain open. Therefore, normal commercial activity will continue.
Moreover, heavy-duty equipment will operate close to the roadway. For this reason, officials are urging drivers to exercise caution.
Stakeholders are encouraged to adjust travel plans. Consequently, they should allow extra time for movement through the area.
The Ministry stressed the importance of following all instructions. This will help ensure safety for both motorists and workers.
Finally, members of the public can make telephone enquiries if needed. They may contact the Project Implementation Management Unit at 562-9173.
Overall, the government says the works are part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure.
