Nikki Beach Antigua Moves Closer to Vertical Construction

Construction at the Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Antigua development is progressing, with land clearing and grading completed and the installation of foundation pilings underway.

The project, valued at more than US$400 million, is planned to include 82 hotel rooms and 134 branded residences, including seven four-bedroom beachfront villas. Developers say the project is moving through the final stages of foundation work before vertical construction begins.

More than 4,600 stone columns and 1,200 Controlled Modulus Columns have been installed to strengthen the ground beneath the development. The stone-column programme is reported to be more than 85 per cent complete.

Plans for the resort also include five food and beverage outlets, two heated swimming pools, an aquatic centre and a dedicated club for children and teenagers. A spa and fitness centre spanning 11,000 square feet is also planned.

The development is expected to open in 2030. According to the announcement, construction is creating direct and indirect opportunities for local contractors, suppliers, artisans and vocational trainees.
