More than 50 schools take part in CHOGM outreach programme

A nationwide outreach initiative tied to the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) has visited more than 50 schools across Antigua, introducing students to the Commonwealth and its role in member countries.

The programme has been designed to help young people better understand the significance of CHOGM and Antigua and Barbuda’s role as host of the major international gathering.

Through presentations and interactive sessions, organizers have been engaging students on topics including the Commonwealth’s history, values and impact on global cooperation.

Officials say the outreach effort is helping to build excitement ahead of the summit while ensuring students have an opportunity to learn about an event that will place Antigua and Barbuda in the international spotlight.
