The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus made a strong impression in its first-ever appearance at the 2026 UWI Games, finishing fourth overall with 44 points and three bronze medals.

The Antigua and Barbuda-based campus secured bronze in men’s basketball, men’s football, and women’s volleyball, finishing ahead of the Global Campus in the final standings. The performance marked an important milestone for the young campus as it continues to expand its presence across the region.

Mona Campus retained the overall championship title with 136 points, while St. Augustine finished second, and Cave Hill placed third. The Games brought together student-athletes from across the UWI system under the theme “Reunited, Reignited, Ready.”

The closing ceremony celebrated athletic achievement, regional unity, and student development. The event concluded with the official handover to Cave Hill Campus in Barbados, which will host the next UWI Games in 2028.
