The Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) has expanded its signature Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Competition into a six-week internship program, officially rebranded as the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Academy. The initiative has grown to feature 14 participating schools, welcoming new competitors including the Sir McChesney George and Seventh-Day Adventist Secondary Schools. Additionally, Tamarlie Williams—the 2024 competition winner—is set to make a return to this year’s showcase.  

The academy specifically targets fourth-form students who are currently studying Home Economics or Food and Nutrition, offering them hands-on industry exposure. Full details and coverage of the launch will be featured later tonight during the Evening News at 7.
