CXC

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, in partnership with ACB Caribbean, will honour 150 students at the 40th Annual National CSEC Awards Ceremony on Thursday, June 11. The event will celebrate outstanding academic performance and highlight students who achieved top rankings in regional examinations across the Caribbean.

The ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will take place at the SJPC House of Restoration Ministries on Lauchland Benjamin Drive. Organizers said the awards will recognize students who performed exceptionally in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams. They will also honour those who placed among the top 10 in various subject areas across the region. Officials said the event reflects four decades of commitment to celebrating academic success in Antigua and Barbuda.

According to the Ministry, the ceremony will highlight the discipline, brilliance, and determination of young scholars. Officials said these students represent the future of the country and play an important role in national development. The theme for this year’s event is “Architects of Tomorrow: Honouring Minds, Building Our Future.” The theme reflects the importance of education in shaping leadership and progress for the nation.

The Ministry also confirmed that the event will be broadcast live on ABS Television. It will also be streamed online through the Ministry of Education’s Education Broadcasting Unit Facebook page and the ACB Caribbean Facebook page. This will allow families, teachers, and the wider public to join in celebrating the achievements of the students. Officials said the ceremony remains one of the most important annual events for recognizing academic excellence in Antigua and Barbuda.
