The Cabinet has pledged its support to a young Antiguan artist as part of outreach activities leading up to the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

Officials say the initiative aims to showcase local creativity and provide a platform for young artists to contribute to one of the country’s most significant international events. 21-year-old Antiguan artist Kimberly Pimentel was chosen to create a masterpiece for CHOGM. The finished artwork brings together elements of Antigua and Barbuda’s landscape, culture and identity while highlighting the significance of the country hosting this major international event.

The artist’s work is expected to play a role in promoting Antigua and Barbuda’s culture, talent, and identity as preparations continue for CHOGM 2026.

Cabinet members described the support as an investment in youth development and a valuable opportunity to highlight the country’s creative industries on the global stage.
