The incident happened on July 3 at Hard Rock Stadium during the Argentina vs. Cabo Verde Round of 32 match. Videos shared online appear to show a fan in an Argentina jersey confronting the popular content creator. The clips spread quickly across social media and sparked strong reactions from football fans.

FIFA said it launched its investigation as soon as officials learned about the incident. In a statement released on Tuesday, the organisation strongly condemned racism, hate, and discrimination. It said those actions have no place in football or anywhere else.
