Barbados, Bahamas, St Kitts, Cayman, USVI, Antigua and Barbuda Help Caribbean Make Mark at World’s Largest Cruise Show

Barbados, Bahamas, St Kitts, Cayman, USVI, and Antigua and Barbuda took part in a major cruise industry event. The region made a strong impact at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami Beach. As a result, the Caribbean stood out on the world stage.

The event is the largest cruise conference in the world. Therefore, it attracts top destinations and major industry players. This year, Caribbean countries showed strong cultural and tourism offerings.

Moreover, the atmosphere highlighted Caribbean culture. Visitors experienced merengue music, steel pan sounds, and artisanal rum. In addition, the event created a strong sensory showcase for the region.

Countries such as Barbados, St Kitts, The Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, and Antigua and Barbuda presented displays. The US Virgin Islands also participated. Notably, it featured lively Moko Jumbies that drew attention.

Meanwhile, other destinations also made strong impressions. Martinique, St Maarten, and the Dominican Republic showcased cultural displays. In particular, the Dominican Republic featured music, living statues, and merengue performances.

In addition, Puerto Rico attracted large crowds. It hosted a popular rum bar. Visitors sampled new rum expressions, including Capo and other releases from Rums of Puerto Rico.

At the same time, cruise tourism in the Caribbean continues to grow. Nearly 36 million passengers visited the region last year. Most arrivals came through major Florida ports.

These ports include Miami, Port Canaveral, and Port Everglades. Therefore, Florida remains a key gateway for Caribbean cruise traffic.

Importantly, Nassau in The Bahamas remains the top cruise port in the Caribbean. It continues to lead global rankings. As a result, it plays a major role in regional tourism.

Furthermore, home-porting operations are expanding across the region. Eastern Caribbean destinations are seeing growth. These include St Kitts, Martinique, and Antigua.

Overall, the event highlighted strong Caribbean participation. It also reinforced the region’s importance in global cruise tourism. In the end, the Caribbean continues to strengthen its presence in the industry.
