Voter ID card transactions surge past 29,000 in Antigua and Barbuda. The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission reports rising activity. As a result, voter preparation is intensifying ahead of the general election.

Moreover, the latest data shows 29,868 total transactions so far this year. This figure includes both new applications and replacements. Therefore, demand for voter services continues to grow.

In addition, the report covers activity up to mid-April. It shows steady processing across multiple constituencies. As a result, the commission continues to manage high volumes.

Furthermore, some constituencies show strong completion rates. St Peter leads with 88 percent completion. St Philip North follows with 75 percent, while Barbuda records 76 percent.

However, larger constituencies show higher total application numbers. St John’s Rural West records 2,534 applications. All Saints West records 2,616 applications. Therefore, processing demand remains high in these areas.

Meanwhile, a separate weekly report shows increased activity. Between April 12 and 18, the commission processed 2,546 replacement applications. It also handled 323 new applications.

In addition, daily figures show a midweek spike. April 13 recorded 793 applications. Activity then declined to 441 applications by April 16. As a result, demand eased later in the week.

Moreover, some constituencies recorded strong weekly totals. All Saints West, St George, and St Mary’s North led in activity. Therefore, these areas show continued voter engagement.

At the same time, the data points to election preparation across the country. Many voters are updating or replacing ID cards. This step is required for voting in the upcoming polls.

Furthermore, the trend suggests growing election readiness. Voters continue to complete registration tasks. As a result, participation efforts are increasing nationwide.
