An EC$30,000 contribution has helped Antigua and Barbuda’s first all-girls robotics team secure its place at an upcoming international competition.

The funding will assist with travel and participation expenses as the students prepare to represent the country on the global stage.

The team’s achievement marks an important milestone for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Antigua and Barbuda, while highlighting the growing involvement of young women in the field of robotics.

Supporters say the opportunity will allow the students to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience and inspire more girls to pursue careers in technology and innovation.
