Sir Richie Golf Day Raises Funds and Hope
Sir Richie Richardson hosted a successful Charity Golf Day on April 11, 2026. The event drew strong support from many groups.
Golfers came from the US, Canada, the UK, St Kitts, and Antigua. In addition, corporate partners and community supporters joined the day.
Together, they enjoyed friendly competition and shared purpose. At the same time, they raised funds for key charitable causes.
As a result, the event boosted both awareness and support. Organisers highlighted the power of teamwork and giving.
Importantly, proceeds will support youth and education programmes. These include the Striving for Excellence Golf Academy and the Kiwanis Bright Minds Project.
Both programmes focus on youth growth and learning. Therefore, the funds will help build stronger futures.
In addition, support will go to Kimesha Anthony. She is a former number one women’s golfer in Antigua and the Caribbean.
This support reflects a clear goal. It aims to develop and uplift local talent.
Following the event, Sir Richie Richardson shared his gratitude. He thanked all sponsors and participants for their generosity.
He said their support continues to make a real difference. Moreover, he expressed hope for ongoing partnerships.
The event also created memorable moments. For example, young players made a strong impact.
Notably, the winning team included two rising golfers. They are 15-year-old Clairmont Carringt and 16-year-old Lovanjo Weekes.
Both players train under Coach Bobby James. Their success highlights the value of mentorship and training.
Sir Richie, who leads the academy, said the moment was emotional. He felt proud of the young athletes’ achievement.
Meanwhile, the event showed the strength of community spirit. It brought people together for a shared cause.
Looking ahead, organisers plan to build on this success. They aim to grow the event and increase its impact.
Overall, the Charity Golf Day blended sport with purpose. It also showed how collective effort can drive change.
In the end, the event delivered both hope and opportunity for many.
