Police have seized a firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of cannabis during a series of coordinated operations carried out across Antigua and Barbuda.

The operations were conducted as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime, remove illegal weapons from communities, and disrupt the distribution of illicit drugs. Officers reportedly recovered the items during targeted searches in multiple locations.

Law enforcement officials have described the seizures as a significant development in their crime-fighting efforts and reiterated their commitment to public safety. On Wednesday, August 12, officers executed a search warrant at a farm in Parham and discovered a firearm with several rounds of matching ammunition, four cellular phones, and a bow with several arrows.

Two people who were present at the farm were arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. They were taken into police custody as investigations continued.

Investigations are continuing, and police have encouraged members of the public to share information that may assist in ongoing operations.
