A man charged in connection with a shooting incident at Carlisle Bay Resort has pleaded guilty before the court, bringing the case a step closer to its conclusion. Frederick Henry committed the offence on April 11, 2023.

The incident, which drew significant public attention, involved a shooting at the luxury resort and prompted a police investigation. Following legal proceedings, the accused admitted guilt to the charges brought against him.

With the guilty plea entered, the court is expected to move to the sentencing phase, where the appropriate penalty will be determined. Prosecutors and defense attorneys are expected to make submissions before a final sentence is handed down.

The case has remained a matter of public interest due to the seriousness of the offence and its occurrence at one of Antigua and Barbuda’s well-known tourism properties.
