Antigua and Barbuda Takes Black Pineapple Awards to Toronto

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is preparing to bring its Black Pineapple Awards to Toronto, Canada, to recognise travel advisors who have helped promote the destination and generate bookings.

The awards, named after Antigua and Barbuda’s national fruit, celebrate travel professionals whose sales contribute to the country’s tourism industry. The recognition programme includes advisors who have recorded high booking numbers and those who have generated the greatest sales revenue. The ceremony is scheduled for December 1, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships with Canadian travel industry partners. Canada remains an important market for Antigua and Barbuda, with tourism officials continuing to work with travel advisors to increase awareness and encourage more visitors to the twin-island destination.

Through the awards, the Tourism Authority aims to recognise the role travel professionals play in connecting Canadian travellers with Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism offerings.
