JCI Antigua has secured the region’s top organisational recognition following a successful showing at the 66th JCI West Indies National Convention in Saint Lucia, held from October 7 to 10.

The Antiguan chapter collected several awards for its work in leadership, public relations and skills development. Its Aspire to Inspire initiative was recognised for local growth and development, while the Spotlight Entrepreneur Expo received an award for its JCI RISE project.

Members also excelled in individual competitions, with Maleeka Goodwin winning the public speaking championship and Donte Walter, Kenrick George and Tiffany Strann-Peters taking the debating title.

The convention also brought leadership changes, with former JCI Antigua President Laurel Jonas elected to lead JCI West Indies in 2027. Colette Edwards was elected Vice President, adding to the chapter’s strong showing at the regional gathering.
