Prime Minister Gaston Browne has renewed his call for the establishment of an OECS-owned airline, citing ongoing frustrations with regional travel across the Caribbean.

Browne argued that unreliable air services, limited flight options, and high travel costs continue to create difficulties for residents, businesses, and visitors moving between islands. He believes a dedicated regional carrier could help improve connectivity and support economic growth throughout the OECS.

The Prime Minister emphasized that efficient transportation is essential for deeper regional integration, tourism development, trade, and the movement of people within the Caribbean. He noted that better air links would strengthen relationships among member states and make regional travel more accessible.

The proposal comes amid continued discussions about transportation challenges in the Eastern Caribbean and growing calls for long-term solutions to improve mobility across the region.
