Axleigh Akez has claimed the top spot in this year’s CSEC exams at Ottos Comprehensive School. She passed all nine subjects in one sitting, earning outstanding grades. Her success shows dedication, talent, and focus.

From the start, Axleigh consistently earned honours at OCS. She also served as a Prefect, combining leadership with academic excellence. Furthermore, she maintained top grades despite challenges from COVID-19 disruptions.

Although she missed the School Common Entrance Exams, she quickly adapted. With guidance from teachers at St. John’s Lutheran School, she stayed on track. Consequently, she achieved remarkable results and made her school proud.

Axleigh earned the Salutatorian title for the graduating class of 2025. She received trophies, gifts, and monetary awards for her outstanding performance. Her accomplishments set an example for other students aiming for success.

Meanwhile, the Valedictorian went to a student who excelled in school activities and showed steady improvement. However, Axleigh focused on academics and proved that determination leads to exceptional results.

Hailing from Tindale Road, Ottos, Axleigh comes from a supportive family. Her mother, Dr. Desrie Marisa Southwell, holds multiple degrees, while her father, Mr. Makinya A. Akez, graduated from Antigua State College. Their encouragement helped her excel.

Moreover, Axleigh has now enrolled as a Freshman in Business Studies at the new Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS). She plans to continue her studies with the same drive she showed at OCS.

Teachers, relatives, and the community celebrate her achievements. They praise her dedication, resilience, and talent. In addition, they hope she inspires other students to aim high.

As Axleigh begins this new chapter, Antigua and Barbuda looks forward to her future successes. She proves that focus, hard work, and persistence create extraordinary accomplishments.
