Cabinet has announced that the Independence Ceremonial Parade and Food Fair will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025. The date has been designated as the official public holiday since November 1 falls on a Saturday this year.

This decision aligns with the Public Holidays (Amendment) Act of 2019, which provides that when November 1 falls on a weekend, the following Monday shall be observed as the public holiday, with all official Independence celebrations held on that day.
