Adeola

Antiguan educator Adeola Matthew has been chosen to take part in the 2025 “University Partnerships” Multi-Regional Project, which is part of the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Her selection is a recognition of her long career in education and her efforts to strengthen international collaboration.

Ms. Matthew is the Recruitment Officer at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus. She has worked in education for more than 25 years, focusing on program development, student outreach, and institutional growth. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Education in Language and Literacy.

The three-week program will bring together education leaders from around the world. Participants will travel across the United States, visiting universities in Washington, D.C., California, Arizona, and North Carolina. They will explore student exchanges, public-private partnerships, and new ideas for higher education.

The U.S. Embassy welcomed her selection and said her participation will help strengthen higher education in Antigua & Barbuda by building networks and sharing best practices.
