Antigua and Barbuda has reaffirmed its status as a premier global destination, claiming top honors across multiple categories at the prestigious 2026 Caribbean Journal Caribbean Travel Awards.

Celebrated for its pristine beaches and high-end hospitality, the twin-island nation secured three major destination awards:

• Caribbean Tourist Board of the Year: Recognizing the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) for its exceptional leadership and global marketing innovation.
• Honeymoon Destination of the Year: Cementing the islands’ reputation as the ultimate romantic escape.
• Luxury Destination of the Year: Honoring the destination’s world-class accommodations and curated travel experiences.

In addition to the national awards, Pineapple Beach Club was named Pickleball Resort of the Year, highlighting the islands’ growing focus on wellness and active tourism.

Colin C.
