Ghana Adds Antigua and Barbuda to Visa-Free List
Ghana has expanded its visa-free travel network to include Antigua and Barbuda, allowing Ghanaian passport holders to enter the country without obtaining a visa in advance. The arrangement also extends to travellers visiting the Maldives and Zambia.
The visa waiver applies to holders of ordinary, service, and diplomatic passports. Under the agreement, Ghanaian visitors can stay in Antigua and Barbuda for up to 90 days without a visa, the longest permitted stay among the three newly added destinations.
Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move is intended to facilitate travel and strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between partner countries. Officials noted that travellers must still comply with immigration and entry requirements upon arrival.
The agreement further strengthens ties between Ghana and Antigua and Barbuda while providing greater travel flexibility for citizens of the West African nation.
