Family fun ride organizers at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre are inviting the public to join an awareness event this Sunday.

The annual World Down Syndrome Awareness Family Fun Ride takes place on March 22, 2026. Meanwhile, organizers aim to promote inclusion across the island.

The event is planned in collaboration with the Antigua and Barbuda Cycling Federation. In addition, Good Humans 268 Inc. is supporting the initiative.

Together, the groups want to raise awareness about Down syndrome. At the same time, they want families to enjoy a fun and inclusive activity.

Organizers say the event is free for everyone. Therefore, people of all ages and abilities can take part.

Moreover, special prize categories will add excitement to the ride. This encourages more participation from the community.

To ensure inclusion, organizers will provide a stationary bike on site. As a result, persons who cannot ride can still join the activity.

Meanwhile, the ride will begin at 8 a.m. along LIAT Road in Coolidge, St. George’s. Participants are asked to arrive early and prepare for the event.

In addition, families are encouraged to attend together. Friends and supporters can also join to show unity.

Organizers stress the importance of community support. They believe events like this help build awareness and understanding.

Furthermore, the activity promotes inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. It also highlights the need for acceptance across society.

As a result, the event serves both a social and educational purpose. It brings people together while spreading a positive message.

Meanwhile, organizers continue to encourage strong turnout. They hope the event will attract wide community participation.

Finally, the Family Fun Ride offers a chance to support a meaningful cause. At the same time, it provides a fun and welcoming space for everyone involved.
