Debris from FV FAITH P has been spotted while crews continue searching for three missing fishermen. The vessel was expected in port on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

However, authorities confirmed the boat did not return. The fishermen left on March 11, 12.5 nautical miles south-southwest of Barbuda.

As a result, the ABDF Coast Guard launched a search immediately. Two aircraft and five vessels scanned 1,225 nautical miles. Nevertheless, crews have not located the vessel.

On March 14, a local boat found possible debris from FV FAITH P. An engine cover matched the vessel’s description, 26 nautical miles southwest of Palmetto Point, Barbuda.

In addition, fishermen reported seeing a cooler in the search area. Authorities are verifying whether it belongs to the missing vessel.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard continues broadcasting urgent marine alerts on VHF Channel 16. These messages warn nearby mariners to stay alert.

Moreover, the alerts encourage anyone with information to report it immediately. Tips could help rescue the missing fishermen.

Several organizations are assisting the search. These include the ABDF Air Wing, the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center in Fort-de-France, Martinique, and Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue (ABSAR).

Additionally, local groups and private vessels joined the effort. Participants include Barbuda Fisheries, Montserrat Marine Police Unit, Calvin Air Helicopters, FV PACIFIC OCEAN, CASH MONEY III, Calypso Cat, and members of the Urlings fishing community.
