Prime Minister Gaston Browne visited Grace Christian Academy on Thursday morning. During the visit, he donated funds to support a student tree-planting project.

The visit followed a request from a Grade One teacher. The class had been studying national leaders in Social Studies. Therefore, the teacher invited the Prime Minister to meet the students.

Browne accepted the invitation and arrived at the school Thursday morning. Soon after, he greeted students and teachers. In addition, he spent time speaking with the young learners.

During the visit, the Prime Minister encouraged students to value education. He also stressed the importance of discipline and good behavior. Moreover, he reminded them to respect their teachers and classmates.

At the same time, Browne spoke about protecting the environment. He explained that small actions can improve communities. For example, he urged students to keep their surroundings clean.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted the value of planting trees. Trees help protect the environment and improve the island’s beauty.

As part of the visit, Browne donated money to help the school plant trees around its compound. Consequently, the project will expand in the coming weeks.

“Plant trees in your yard and at your school,” Browne told the students. “Also take care of them as they grow.”

He explained that trees make Antigua and Barbuda greener and healthier. Therefore, caring for trees helps protect the country’s future.

Students listened closely as the Prime Minister shared his message. Meanwhile, teachers welcomed the opportunity for students to meet a national leader.

School officials later thanked Browne for the visit and donation. They said the support will help improve the school environment.
