Cricket West Indies (CWI) is preparing a special cricket event in Antigua and Barbuda to coincide with the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). The initiative, called “One Commonwealth, One Team,” will use cricket to bring together people from across the Commonwealth.

The programme is scheduled for November 1 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Activities will include a cricket exhibition involving Commonwealth leaders and a separate match featuring Under-23 players, giving emerging talent an opportunity to showcase their abilities.

The event will highlight cricket’s role in connecting countries through a shared sporting tradition while promoting cooperation and opportunities for young athletes. It also complements the theme of CHOGM 2026, which focuses on building partnerships and investment for a more prosperous Commonwealth.

The initiative involves collaboration between Cricket West Indies, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and several Commonwealth organisations and partners.
