Elon Musk Shows Interest in CHOGM 2026

Elon

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has expressed interest in attending the Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF), which will take place alongside the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Antigua and Barbuda.

Speaking recently, Browne said Musk’s participation has not yet been confirmed. However, discussions are ongoing, and organisers remain hopeful that the global business leader will attend. Browne described Musk as a leading figure in creativity and innovation and said officials look forward to welcoming him if his schedule allows.

Antigua and Barbuda will host CHOGM from November 1 to 4, 2026, under the theme, “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth.” The event is expected to attract leaders from the Commonwealth’s 56 member nations, along with ministers, investors, business executives, civil society representatives, and youth delegates.

Key discussions are expected to focus on climate resilience, trade, innovation, equality, and sustainable development. The Commonwealth Business Forum will also provide opportunities for governments and private-sector leaders to explore investment partnerships and economic cooperation across the Commonwealth.

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda cricket legend and national hero Sir Vivian Richards has been appointed CHOGM 2026 Envoy and is helping to promote the event internationally. Browne said the attendance of globally recognised figures such as Musk could further boost the profile of the meeting and strengthen its business-focused agenda.
