Pringle said challenges within his party prepared him for national leadership. He spoke at a final rally before the April 30 general election. Supporters gathered in All Saints to hear his message.

From the start, he described a difficult political journey. He said those experiences shaped his leadership. “I stand here as a leader who was forged in fire,” Pringle told the crowd.

First, he recalled moments of isolation and pressure. Then, he pointed to public criticism that tested him. Next, he mentioned the leadership contest. He also highlighted internal division within the party.

Despite this, he focused on growth and progress. He said he worked to rebuild trust among members. In addition, he pushed to restore unity. As a result, he believes the party grew stronger.

Now, he argues the team stands ready to govern. He said the United Progressive Party can lead from day one. He also expressed pride in his candidates.

Meanwhile, he framed the election as a clear choice. On one hand, he said voters can choose democracy and opportunity. On the other, he warned of corruption and self-interest.

He then addressed predictions of defeat. Prime Minister Gaston Browne predicted a sweeping victory. However, Pringle rejected that claim. Instead, he said voters will decide the outcome.

Moreover, he accused the ruling party of unfair tactics. For example, he claimed they used giveaways and pressure. He also questioned the timing of recent spending.

Even so, he praised his party’s resilience. He said the campaign proved their strength. Therefore, he expressed confidence in the result.

Next, he turned to the role of voters. He reminded them they hold the power. He added that leaders must answer to the people.

Furthermore, he promised a different leadership style. He said a UPP government will listen and serve. In turn, he pledged careful use of state resources.

He also highlighted sports development. He described sports as a unifying force. Then, he outlined plans for Mock Pond. He wants to build a national training facility there.

In addition, he proposed spaces for training and competition. He also mentioned youth tournaments and community events.

Finally, he called for unity across the country. He stressed the need to include Barbuda. He ended by urging voters to make their choice.
