The Commonwealth Observer Group has recommended an urgent review of Antigua and Barbuda’s constituency boundaries, stating that the current electoral map no longer reflects significant population changes across the country.

In its report, the group noted that some constituencies have experienced substantial growth while others have seen declines, creating disparities in voter representation. The observers said regular boundary reviews are important to ensure fairness and equality in the electoral process.

The report also encouraged authorities to strengthen electoral systems and continue efforts to improve democratic processes in line with international best practices.

The recommendation forms part of a broader assessment of Antigua and Barbuda’s electoral framework and highlights the importance of maintaining balanced representation for all voters.
