Antigua Hosts Major Youth Leadership Conference
Antigua and Barbuda will host a major Caribbean youth conference this June. The event marks a return after more than 20 years.
Specifically, the country will welcome the Rotaract District 7030 Conference 2026. This year’s theme is “Linked in Wadadli.”
The conference will run from June 25 to 29, 2026. It will take place at Pineapple Beach Club.
As a result, about 200 young leaders will gather. They will come from across the Caribbean region.
Importantly, Rotaract District 7030 includes 47 clubs. These clubs span many Caribbean territories.
For example, members come from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago. In addition, they represent smaller islands and mainland territories.
Each year, the conference serves as a key platform. It supports training, networking, and youth-led solutions.
This year, the theme highlights connection and identity. Moreover, it promotes regional unity and shared leadership.
Organisers say Antigua and Barbuda will act as a hub. Here, young leaders can exchange ideas and build partnerships.
The programme will feature several activities. These include leadership sessions and expert discussions. In addition, innovation workshops and service projects are planned.
At the same time, cultural showcases will celebrate Caribbean diversity. Therefore, participants will experience both learning and culture.
Networking will also play a major role. Attendees can form lasting professional and regional connections.
Over the years, the conference has rotated across the region. Typically, it attracts between 150 and 200 participants.
Because of this, it also supports local economies. Furthermore, it helps develop skilled and service-driven leaders.
This year’s event is led by Crystal Mohammed. She serves as District Rotaract Representative.
She is supported by co-chairs Sherwyn Greenidge and Dr. Namadi Belle. Together, they lead a regional planning team.
Their goal is clear and focused. They aim to strengthen youth capacity and expand collaboration.
Beyond the sessions, the conference seeks real outcomes. It will equip youth with practical leadership skills.
Finally, it will promote regional cooperation and community impact.
