A Concacaf Nations League match between Antigua and Barbuda and Anguilla took an unusual turn after two Antigua and Barbuda players were sent off for pulling an opponent’s dreadlocks.

Anguilla forward Aedan Scipio, whose dreadlocks reach his ankles, entered the match in the 69th minute with his team trailing 5-0. Just three minutes later, Antigua and Barbuda’s Keon Greene received a straight red card after tugging Scipio’s hair.

The drama continued in stoppage time when Antigua and Barbuda were reduced to nine men after Shalon Knight was also shown a red card for pulling Scipio’s dreadlocks from behind.

Despite the incidents, Antigua and Barbuda secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Anguilla in the Concacaf Nations League encounter at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
