Prime Minister Gaston Browne is set to take legal action against a U.S. law firm. The firm made serious claims about the government’s 2023 sale of the Alfa Nero superyacht. Browne calls those claims baseless and damaging.He said a pre-action letter will be sent soon. This letter is the first step before filing a full lawsuit in U.S. courts. The government is asking for $10 million to settle. If the firm refuses, Browne’s legal team will move forward with the case. He has hired around seven top lawyers to handle this fight.The law firm represented a Russian national, Yulia Guryeva Motlokhov. She accused the government of wrongdoing in the yacht sale. Motlokhov also demanded the Prime Minister’s financial records for six years. The government says these claims are political and false.
