Contractor Robbed at Fake Roadblock in Antigua

A contractor in Antigua fell victim to a daring armed robbery on Friday afternoon. The incident happened just after 1 p.m. along Sir Andy Roberts Drive, when two men staged a fake roadblock using traffic cones and reflector vests.

The men pulled the contractor from his vehicle at gunpoint and escaped with more than $19,000 in payroll cash, his phone, and his Jeep. The vehicle was later found in Cades Bay, but the cash and phone remain missing.

Police are now investigating the robbery. Authorities are urging the public to be cautious when approaching roadblocks and to report any suspicious activity. The bold daylight attack has raised concerns about criminal tactics and public safety.
