The scholarship programme resulted from a partnership between Antigua and Barbuda and Bede’s School.
Officials said the initiative strengthens educational and sporting ties with the United Kingdom.
Special recognition also went to Calaum Jahraldo Martin, a Bede’s alumnus. He introduced High Commissioner Hill to the school.
Since then, Bede’s completed a cricket tour to Antigua in 2023. Another tour is planned for February 2027.
Officials said another talented young cricketer could receive a scholarship opportunity during that visit.
Former Sports Minister Daryll Matthew and cricket legend Vivian Richards have also supported the partnership.
Bede’s School is among the top independent schools in the United Kingdom. West Indies captain Shai Hope also attended the school.
