Antigua and Barbuda Backs Regional Plan for Stronger Healthcare

Antigua and Barbuda has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing public health by supporting a new regional health strategy led by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The strategy, launched during a recent high-level meeting, focuses on strengthening healthcare systems across the Caribbean and Latin America. It emphasizes universal access to health, improved resilience against future pandemics, and tackling non-communicable diseases that continue to affect the region.
Government officials highlighted that Antigua and Barbuda’s participation reflects its dedication to building a healthier future for citizens while contributing to wider regional cooperation. By working closely with PAHO and WHO, the country aims to ensure more equitable access to care, stronger health infrastructure, and better preparedness for global health challenges.
