Joma Boosts Antigua Youth with Football Donation

Joma Caribbean has given a major lift to youth sports in Antigua and Barbuda. On September 17, the company, in partnership with Cool & Smooth, donated 160 footballs to the Ministry of Sports. The handover ceremony was held at Joma’s headquarters on All Saints Road.

Joma Caribbean Manager George Hourani said the brand wants to reduce the region’s dependence on bigger international suppliers. He explained that quality equipment can help young players find direction and even outperform seasoned athletes. Hourani, who comes from a football-loving family, stressed the importance of keeping youth engaged in positive activities.

The footballs will be distributed to schools across Antigua and Barbuda as the new season begins. Sports Coordinator Heather Samuel-Daley thanked Joma and Cool & Smooth for their continued support, noting the partnership’s impact on student athletes and community development.
