Gunmen stormed a home in All Saints early Wednesday and shot the owner. The 47-year-old man is now recovering, police said.

According to reports, the incident happened around 1 a.m. The homeowner was asleep at the time. He was awakened by a noise coming from his living room.

Shortly after, two masked gunmen confronted him. Police said the suspects forced their way into his bedroom. They then demanded money.

However, the victim reportedly refused. As a result, a struggle followed between the man and the attackers. During the altercation, one of the suspects allegedly fired a shot.

The victim was hit on the right side of his abdomen. After the shooting, the assailants fled the scene. They escaped in an unknown vehicle heading east.

Police described the suspects as men of average build. They were armed with black firearms. Both men were wearing masks at the time of the incident.

Additionally, the suspects reportedly stole a black wallet. The wallet contained an undisclosed amount of cash. It also held personal documents belonging to the victim.

Following the incident, police responded and began inquiries. Officers collected information at the scene. They also began searching for the suspects.

At this time, no arrests have been reported. Police have not released further details about the attackers. They have also not confirmed the type of vehicle used.

Residents in the area have been urged to remain alert. Police continue to gather information related to the incident. They are asking anyone with knowledge to come forward.
