Widespread Flooding Reported Across Antigua Amid Heavy Rains

Heavy rainfall has caused widespread flooding across Antigua, affecting areas such as St. John’s, Bolans, All Saints, and Clare Hall. Roads have become partially submerged, drains are overflowing, and several motorists have reported difficulty navigating through deep water.

The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service confirmed that lingering moisture from Tropical Storm Jerry continues to bring heavy showers and thunderstorms to the island. A flash flood advisory was issued on Friday morning as more rain was expected throughout the day.

Even the national Met Office experienced flooding, with water leaking through the roof and damaging parts of the facility. Authorities are urging residents to remain indoors, avoid flooded areas, and report any dangerous conditions to emergency services.
