The United Progressive Party (UPP) has unveiled a slate of 15 constituency caretakers and candidates as it steps up preparations for the next general election. The announcement was made by party leader Jamale Pringle, who said the move signals the party’s early readiness for the upcoming political cycle.

Pringle explained that the team will focus on rebuilding and strengthening the party’s grassroots structures nationwide, guided by its “People First” campaign message. He said the caretakers will play a key role in constituency-level engagement and organization as the party expands its outreach.

The announced caretakers and candidates are:

• St. Philip South – Sherfield Bowen
• St. Philip North – Senator Alex Browne
• St. Paul – Wayne Benjamin Marsh
• St. Peter – Captain George Wehner
• St. Mary’s North – Senator Johnathon Joseph
• St. Mary’s South – Kelvin Simon
• St. John’s City East – Senator Pearl Quinn-Williams
• St. John’s City West – Alister Thomas
• St. John’s City South – Franz deFreitas
• St. John’s Rural East – Ashworth Azille
• St. John’s Rural West – Richard Lewis
• St. John’s Rural North – Malaka Parker
• St. John’s Rural South – Emanuel Peters
• All Saints West – Harold Lovell
• All Saints East & St. Luke – Jamale Pringle

Pringle noted that a caretaker for St. George will be announced once the constituency branch completes its internal process, adding that the party will begin groundwork immediately as it positions itself for the next general election.
