Three men charged in fraud investigation

Three

Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with fraud-related offences. The charges involve the unauthorized electronic transfer of funds. Police confirmed the details in a statement on Monday.

The incident took place in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda. According to police, the matter involves a local bank account. The case centers on an unlawful electronic transfer.

The accused are Jahari Adams, age 28, of Golden Grove Extension. Also charged is Judeah Francis, age 25, of Golden Grove. In addition, Kareem Davis, age 19, of Cooks Extension, faces charges.

All three men were jointly charged. The charge is Electronic Transfer of Funds. Police said the transfer involved ten thousand six hundred dollars.

The funds were taken from a savings account. The alleged transfer occurred on December 13, 2025. The bank involved is a local financial institution.

Meanwhile, police explained how the investigation began. It started on Friday, January 2, 2026. Officers were on duty when they intercepted a vehicle.

The vehicle was a white Toyota Ractis. Officers stopped it along Friendly Alley. At the time, Judeah Francis was driving.

Jahari Adams and Kareem Davis were also inside the vehicle. All three were questioned by police. This interaction led to further investigation.

During the stop, police seized several items. These items are believed to be linked to the case. As a result, officers took them into custody.

The seized items included a silver HP laptop. Police also took a Digicel cellular phone. In addition, they seized a storage vault.

According to police, these items are relevant to the investigation. They may assist with ongoing inquiries. Therefore, officers retained them as evidence.

Following the investigation, police moved forward with charges. The men were formally arrested. Each was charged in connection with the alleged fraud.

Police did not release further details at this stage. However, the investigation has now reached the court phase. The matter remains active.

The three accused are expected to appear in court. There, they will answer to the charges. A court date is expected to be scheduled.

In the meantime, police continue their work. The Royal Police Force said it remains committed to investigating financial crimes. The case will now proceed through the legal system.
