St. Vincent Officers Begin Criminology Studies at UWI Five Islands in Antigua

Twenty-six officers of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), along with two officers from His Majesty’s Prisons, have officially enrolled in the Bachelor of Science programme in Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus in Antigua and Barbuda.
The milestone was marked during the campus’s Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony, held at the university’s gymnasium and livestreamed across all UWI campuses. The move underscores the growing role of UWI Five Islands as a hub for professional training and academic development in the Eastern Caribbean.
By pursuing this programme, the officers aim to strengthen their understanding of criminology and criminal justice, equipping themselves with knowledge and skills to address the complex challenges of law enforcement and corrections. Their participation also reflects a broader commitment across the region to improving security and justice systems through higher education.
