Sri Lanka and Antigua and Barbuda Forge Diplomatic Ties

Sri Lanka and Antigua and Barbuda have officially established diplomatic relations, marking a new chapter of cooperation between the two island nations.
The agreement was signed in Washington D.C. by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States, Mahinda Samarasinghe, and Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador, Sir Ronald Sanders. According to a statement from Sri Lanka’s Foreign Ministry, the partnership took effect immediately after the signing.
Both countries aim to strengthen collaboration in political, social, economic, and cultural areas, fostering mutual growth and friendship on the international stage.
