Potworks Reservoir Now Holds 4-5 Months Water Supply
The Potworks Reservoir is a key water source in Antigua. Right now, it holds enough water to last about four to five months. This is good news for residents who rely on it daily. The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) monitors the water levels closely.
As of October 17, the reservoir’s water level was 12 feet. The reservoir supplies about one million imperial gallons of water each day. This water goes to homes and businesses across the island. APUA is hopeful that upcoming rains will increase the water supply even more.
The reservoir gets water from rainfall and runoff in nearby areas like Liberta and All Saints. These natural sources help fill the reservoir and keep the water flowing. Managing this supply is important to ensure everyone has enough water.
APUA continues to watch the situation carefully. They want to make sure the water lasts until the rainy season returns. This helps prevent shortages and keeps the community safe and healthy.
