Pathologist details four gunshot wounds as the Nigel Christian murder trial continues. The evidence was presented in the High Court before Justice Rajiv Persaud. As a result, the case has taken a critical turn.

Three men stand accused of murder. They are Lasean Bully, Wayne Thomas, and Saleim Harrigan. However, all three have maintained their innocence throughout the trial.

According to the Crown, a key witness played a central role. The witness said he drove the men on the day in question. He also claimed he saw them remove Christian from his home at gunpoint.

After that, the men reportedly placed Christian into his own truck. Meanwhile, the witness followed from a distance. Later, he said he found Christian’s body. He also claimed he picked up the accused after they abandoned the vehicle.

During the proceedings, the pathologist’s report was read into evidence. It outlined four gunshot wounds to Christian’s body.

First, there was a grazing wound on the right side of the head. It extended upward near the ear. Next, a second wound appeared between the eyes. The bullet travelled through the skull and exited the back of the head.

Then, a third wound entered at the top of the head. It travelled downward and exited near the moustache area. Together, these head wounds caused severe brain damage. They also led to heavy bleeding and tissue destruction.

In addition, a fourth wound was found in the upper chest. The bullet entered below the collarbone. It passed through the chest wall and lungs. As a result, significant blood collected in the chest.

Furthermore, the trial has included other key evidence. This includes crime scene photos, DNA findings, and police statements. Cell tower data has also been presented.

The prosecution is led by the Director of Public Prosecutions and Crown Counsel. Meanwhile, each accused has legal representation.

At this stage, the prosecution is nearing the end of its case. About five more witnesses are expected to testify. After that, the defence will begin its case.

The jury includes eleven members, with two alternates. It consists of five men and six women.

For now, the trial continues as the court hears more evidence.
