OECS and Canada Discuss Wide Range of Regional Issues
Leaders from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) recently met with Canadian officials to discuss several key issues affecting the region. The talks focused on strengthening cooperation and deepening long-standing relations between Canada and OECS member states.
Discussions covered areas such as climate change, trade, security, education, and sustainable development. OECS representatives highlighted the unique challenges small island states face, particularly in responding to climate impacts and building economic resilience.
Canada reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Eastern Caribbean through development assistance, technical cooperation, and policy dialogue. Both sides agreed on the importance of continued collaboration to address regional and global challenges.
