Antigua and Barbuda has officially opened its new US$60 million cruise terminal at Heritage Quay, marking a major milestone for the country’s tourism sector. The modern facility is designed to enhance the visitor experience and improve the island’s capacity to welcome large cruise vessels.

The new terminal features upgraded berthing space, improved passenger facilities, and expanded areas for shopping and cultural displays. Officials say the development will allow Antigua to handle increased cruise traffic while offering visitors a smoother and more attractive arrival experience.

The opening forms part of wider efforts to strengthen tourism infrastructure and boost economic activity in St. John’s and surrounding communities. The government expects the new terminal to create jobs, support local businesses, and reinforce Antigua’s position as a leading cruise destination in the Caribbean.
